Important Changes to the Leveling of a Warrior in the Shadowlands Pre-Patch The Shadowlands Covenant system is not available in pre-patch mode which is why it won’t be discussed here. The players will not have the opportunity to choose an Covenant until the first time their character reaches the level of 60 in Shadowlands. There’s a brand new tab on your spellbook between General and your talent specialization which is simply named “Warrior”. These are skills that are now shared by the majority of Warriors regardless of what specialization they choose. New Warriors will not begin in an unspecified spec (Arms). As long as they don’t choose a specific spec at level 10 and their abilities are drawn from the general Warrior abilities available to any specializations. Experienced Warriors will notice some skills have been altered or rearranged, and may need to re-acquire some abilities. The AoE (Area of Effect) caps will be introduced in the Shadowlands pre-patch. It places a limit on how many targets the ability can hit simultaneously. This will affect a number of the abilities of warriors. The best Warrior for Leveling Spec in Shadowlands For a total beginner to the class, though each specialization has strengths and weaknesses, we recommend Arms as the most effective option for leveling. Arms has a good combination between AoE groups and single-target damage, and more self-healing possibilities with the Second Wind at level 35. Both passive and active Arms can deal Bleed damage. This is a great DOT (Damage Over Time) capability that is extremely useful in taking down bosses with a lot of. Rage is much easier to control at lower levels than Fury. Since the introduction of defensive capabilities to all Warriors like Spell Reflection, Shield Block, and Challenging Shout, Arms Warriors with the “sword and board” set of abilities can serve as tanks or offtanks in normal dungeons without changing the specs. A lot of players like leveling up as Fury, which is a beast at DPS (damage per second) output, and is a lot of fun to round up groups of foes. The level 30 ability Dragon Roar remains uncapped in terms of the number of enemies it can affect. Without Second Wind, Fury warriors are limited in their healing outside of combat, however, they have the in-combat ability Bloodthirst, which attacks the enemy and restores the target to 3% health. Warriors who like to level up primarily in dungeons favor Protect. The introduction of defensive components to all Warrior specifications means that an armour warrior is able to tank under challenging conditions, protection remains the most suitable choice for regular dungeon tanking. With a larger range of offensive and defensive capabilities and strengths and abilities, this Protection warrior is a top choice for those who love dungeons. Picking the Warrior Then, you can choose a specialization Before you reach level 10, you’re a Warrior with the standard Warrior abilities. When you reach level 10 You can select one of 3 specializations available: Arms, Fury or Protection. At the level of 10, you’ll choose an area of specialization at level 10. You can swap between specializations by opening your Specialization & Talents tab (or pressing N to open it fast) and selecting the specialization you like, then activating the button. There is no cost for switching! Arms: Make use of Overpower to increase the damage you deal to Your Mortal Strike. Use Execute to end the fight (20 percent of the rage cost is refundable to Arms warriors when the mob survives the Execute). At 19, you can include Colossus Smash into the rotation after Mortal Strike if you need some additional oomph in getting up to Execute. Fury: Make use of Raging Blow at two charges in addition to Bloodthirst to cause damage and healing through the battle. Rampage is a fantastic ability especially during a long boss fight, however with 80 Rage it’s quite expensive. If you are AoE playing, it should generate enough rage for you to be able to start Whirlwind; later you can add the level 30 ability Dragon Roar or the Bladestorm, which is level 45. Bladestorm in Bladestorm to your AoE arsenal. Protection: Open by using Shield Slam, then Thunder Clap, Revenge, and Devastate. Later, you can also open with the Level 32 skill Avatar. Be sure to use Shield Block whenever you are combating your opponents. Use the Ignore Pain (40 Rage) if you have Rage to spare, but you must that you don’t sacrifice Shield Block (30 Rage) to get it, since this is your most important line of defense. One Warrior is now available to all classes. You should make sure you use it only if no issues with maintaining or gaining rage. Slam. It’s a bit expensive price for rage (20 Rage) and has little more than damage. In low levels, it’s difficult to generate enough Rage to waste, and at higher levels there are significantly more efficient Rage spenders. Selecting one Race for Your Warrior in Shadowlands Picking your race can be an arduous task, as it defines the character’s appearance and is a costly trait to alter. Contrary to previous times, Racial Traits don’t give players many benefits for throughput, most perks of races are limited to bonuses for professions or use. Warriors are spoiled for choice because they’re the sole class that is able to choose any race they want! The default Races can be races which are instantly available to be played once you sign up for playing with your WoW account. Allied Races are races that are locked behind certain requirements that must be met before you are able to create characters of that race. Each race has different capabilities and spells based on their race, but no races offer any immediate advantages in comparison to other races So you can build your own warrior to fit whatever race best suits your style! Best Warrior Leveling Talents in Shadowlands Best Warrior The Leveling Rotation of Shadowlands When Arms and Fury are both focused on dealing with damage and repairing, they do this in differing ways and employ various tools to accomplish this goal. While Protection warriors are able explore the world on their own and are great tanks for dungeons, in which case they will need to be able to adapt to a multitude of scenarios. Although they are able to damage targets, their focus is more in mitigation rather than the amount of damage they can do. Best Ability Use During Leveling – All Specializations Charge! You must engage opponents with Charge as often as you can for the purpose of generating Rage. This is an effective tactic for all three areas of specialization. Optional Arms Warrior Weapon Ability Use while Leveling Elite Mobs Utilize Overpower to boost Mortal Strike damage. You can use Die by the Sword or Rallying Cry as cooldowns to stay alive. If you fail it is possible to kite many enemies with Hamstring as well as Heroic Leap to give time for Second Wind d to heal your body back to health. Small mobs are plentiful: Warriors get Whirlwind when they reach level 9, however it’s a little difficult to use early on because of its high requirements for rage (30 Rage). When you reach level 22, you will be able to use Sweeping Strikes, which makes single target damaging ability hit another target within 8 yards , resulting in 75 percent damage. At level 38, you will get Bladestorm when you reach level 40. you’ll be able to select the talent Cleave. Groups can also be great time to pay attention to how you’re using your Victory Rush procs to keep yourself healed, even if you lack the rage to deal with AoE a lot early in the game. Dungeons: Use the Hamstring slowers in order to kite mobs going for healing or a weaker DPS. Use Pummel to block dangerous spellcasts or the spell at level 47 of the Warrior ability Reflection to send it back to the spellcaster! The return of shouts across all specs such as Battle Shout at level 39 and Rallying Cry at level 46 can contribute important buffs as well. Make sure not to pull aggro from the tank. Take care not to pull aggro off the tank. Optimal Fury Warrior Ability Use When the player is leveling The Elite Mob: Fury boasts a high self-sustenance thanks to Bloodthirst and Enraged Regeneration, which will help it survive during extended battle. Recklessness could bring many hard targets down quickly. Lots of small mobs: Warriors get Whirlwind when they reach the level 9 level, but it’s difficult to use in the beginning because of its high requirements for rage (30 Rage). Then it becomes easier to use with additional Rage tools available. The levels 30 and 30 talents Dragon Roar and the level 45 Bladestorm provide additional options. Dungeons: You could use your Hamstring lows for kiting mobs going for a healer or some weaker DPS. Utilize Pummel to break spellcasts that are dangerous or to return the level 47 Warrior ability Spell Reflection to redirect it at the caster! Retrieving shouts across all specs such as Battle Shout at level 39 and Rallying Cry at level 46 can provide important buffs , too. Take care not to pull away from the tank. Optional Protection Warrior Ability for Use while leveling Elite Mobs: Simply follow your usual routine to deal with elites. Your increased resistance is enough to warrant a death. Maintain active mitigation — Shield Block , or Ignore Pain — to minimize the damage dealt. You can access many defensive cooldowns if the situation gets ugly, such as Last Stand or Shield Wall. Small mobs are plentiful: Revenge as well as Thunder Clap are great tools for dealing with groups and when enhanced with the level 45 talent Unstoppable Force, the radius of Thunder Clap increases by 30%. Although both spells are capable of hitting unlimited numbers of targets in their range, they both offer reduced damage above 5 targets. Dungeons: Try to always keep all mobs on you always with abilities such as Taunt and at level 54, you’ll be able to use the returned ability [ spell=11611161. Always keep an eye on the healer’s health. Make use of Pummel to stop dangerous spellcasts or the Level 47 Warrior ability Spell Reflection to re-direct it to the spellcaster! A return to shouts to all classes such as Battle Shout at level 39 and Rallying Cry at level 46 can provide significant buffs as well. Warrior Dungeon Leveling in Shadowlands Currently, speed leveling through dungeon boosting is working on The Shadowlands prior patch PTR. Dungeon boosting is the process of having characters with max levels pulling an unleveled character through the dungeons. This allows users to increase the level of up a character to 10-50 in about three hours. This may be nerfed before the release date and therefore do not expect this method to be accessible unless it’s available when the pre-patch launches. If this option isn’t available or you don’t have a max level character to complete this for you, here are some general guidelines on dungeon leveling for warriors. Protection is the best spec that you should use for dungeon levels. Dungeon queues are always short of tanks, and you’ll be able to get a group nearly instantly, instead of waiting for fifteen hours (or longer) for a group as an DPS class. Arms and Fury warriors can also be helpful in the most popular type of dungeon group that surfaced in WoW Classic The Dungeon Cleave Group. This is a fast-paced strategy, and often groups will play for hours in a specific location. Both specs are powerful AoE damage capabilities that target multiple targets, including Whirlwind, Bladestorm, for both, the Cleave talent at level 40 for Arms and the level 45 talent Dragon Roar for Fury. Make use of the same techniques for dungeons described above to slow runners, interrupt or reflect spells, and use Shouts to buff the group. Keep in mind that you’ll have to depend on your healer for the bulk of your healing as Victory Rush does not proc without a killing blow. Warriors with arms can put their feet back to let their Second Wind bring them back a little, but this could not be effective depending on how fast the party is moving through the cave.
